A secret code word is privately decided and used only upon an agreement by your family. You can use the secret code word if you are going to be picked up by a different person than you expected when you left your home. The only way you can be sure you have your family’s permission to go with the person is if they know the secret code word. You would ask the new pick up person to tell you the secret code.
