There two ways to practice a helper movement that is a punch without hurting anyone. One way to do it is shadow training which is done by performing series of punches that include the jab, cross, hook or upper cut in any order one after the other on an imaginary person or shadow. The second way to practice is to set up a target such as a pillow or a punching bag and practice each movement for power and effectiveness.
